Marlon Brando

I had a Marlonbrandoathon last Saturday!
I made it through:
1) Guys & Dolls
2) The Wild One
3) The Young Lions
4) On the Waterfront
5) A Streetcar Named Desire
(I can't believe only 5! It's so hard to find old movies.. especially if you have a special one in mind.)
But Marlon Brando is such an amazing actor - he was so different in every role. He went from juvenile delinquent to Nazi to New York gambler. And I actually don't think he's handsome or anything, it's just the way he acts that makes him attractive.
I should have (actor)athons more often... it's so nice to see a heap of movies all with the same actor in the lead.

Tennessee Williams

I watched a Tennessee Williams play made into a movie on Saturday, and I can't stop thinking about it. The (almost) entire story took place in one house, with 5 main characters - and there was almost no action.
But the story was so amazing! It was about relationships: Husband-wife, Father-son, Brother-brother, Sister-in-law-sister-in-law. And by the end I knew all the characters so well. That's what I love about his plays - You ALWAYS know the characters intimately by the end.
It even had a bitter-sweet ending, and they're my favourites!
Btw the only other Tennessee Williams play I've seen was 'A Streetcar Named Desire' and that didn't end very well.
Oh god I forgot to mention what it's called: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Apple House

When you were a kid did you hear the story about the house in the apple? The seeds made the shape of a house. How sweet.

The Italian Job

My new favourite movie of the week: The Italian Job (1969)

I love it so much, and I haven't seen the new one and don't want to. The old one does just fine. It's so exciting and funny and I love cars.

AND it has that old guy from Inception and Batman as the main character when he was young.

AND AND it's really British.

AND AND AND it has the Mafia in it too.

I know, it can't get any better...

VLC

Just downloaded VLC, it's so amazing. Plays anything. My life is complete! Now I can watch all my HIMYM!

If anybody actually reads this blog, download it too. The only reason I haven't had it all these years is because I didnt realise... it's freee.*

*cheap, I know
